Frequently Asked Questions

Why is my water cloudy or milky looking or have bubbles?

Do not worry. This is normal and is not harmful. We are adding air in lieu of chemicals to alleviate your problem. It takes times for your media to be saturated. This look will disappear in 1-2 weeks.

I have lost power how do I reset my clock?

Open the cover – There is a knob on the right-hand side of the control box. Press the red button and rotate the large wheel to the correct time of day. Be sure to double check am/pm.

When does my regeneration, also known as backwash, happen?

The process is hard programmed to start at 2am and runs for about an hour. We recommend backwashing your media every -other day. If you have used more water than normal, then it is a good idea to add an extra backwash. You can do this manually. Manual backways instructions: Open the cover – There is a knob on the right-hand side of the control box. Turn the small dial clockwise through the clicks until the system turns on. Once it turns on, the process will run through its entire cycle. Note: during the regeneration cycle, you will not have filtered water until it completes its’ cycle.

Bleach angers iron. If you have iron in your water, do not use bleach. It will only make it worse.

Most of our systems can handle approximately 400 gallons of water before they need to be regenerated. Be aware how much water you are using and aim to stay within its limits.

The average person uses 75 gallons of water a day. Keep that number in mind when using your filtration system.

For Well Drillers & Plumbers

Preferred control head

Our preferred control head is a Fleck 2510 control head. We connect all our control heads with 1” PVC Scheduled 40.

Filtration systems

Our filtration systems must stay under pressure. To do so, we install all our systems after the pressure tank.

Reverse osmosis systems

Our reverse osmosis systems need to stay within 41-80 psi. If water pressure exceeds 80 psi, a pressure regulator will need to be added. All our R/O units use John Guest fittings and include a membrane that produces 75 gallons of water per day.
